Marietta summer camp will be located at the Marietta Sixth Grade Academy this year at 340 Aviation Road and is open to children ages 4-14. This change in location will bring great additions to our camp – larger space – newer facility – better gym – two playgrounds – and easier access to I-75 for parents.
Camp opens one week after school ends and closes two weeks before school begins: Marietta City Schools Calendar Extended camp is offered and located at West Side School. Information and dates will be on the email confirmation that is sent when you register for camp.
The hours are 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. each day.
You pay for only the days you use and payment is due the first day you use each week.
Camp fees are $140 for 5 days or $35 per day for 4 or fewer days. There is a $135 non-refundable registration fee per child. The registration fee reserves a place for your child for the entire summer. The camp fees for each additional child are $125 for 5 days or $25 per day. The registration fee is $110 for each additional child. No refunds of less than $10 will be made. All other refunds for camp balances must be requested by the parent/guardian in writing by August 15th of the same year. No refunds can be processed after that time.
One camp shirt, field trips and activities are covered by registration fees except money for snacks, lunches where food courts are available, and souvenirs. Lunches should be brought from home each day and packed in coolers. Certain lunch options are available every day to be purchased on site. A schedule of these options will be available when camp begins.
Registration is accepted until the camp is full. A confirmation email will be sent after your child is registered in camp. A packet of information will be mailed the week before camp begins with all information, ID cards, activity calendars, and room assignments.
An open house will be held before camp begins. The date and time of the open house will be included on your email confirmation when you register. You will have the opportunity to visit your child's room, meet the teacher, pick up camp shirts, ask questions, and see the campus. Any information you did not receive in your parent packet can be picked up or requested at that time. Since camp is located on a school campus, the camp facility is not set up until school is out for the summer months, therefore visitation is not possible until the open house.
Camp has full use of the school campus with our own entrance. Strict security measures are enforced. Halls are monitored and teachers and administrators are equipped with security radios. Only parents and the emergency contacts listed on your child's registration form are allowed on the camp hall.
Camp calendars are mailed the week before camp starts and include field trip information. Drop off starts at 6:30 a.m. and ends at 8:45 a.m. on field trip days. If the group is scheduled for activities at the school you may drop-off any time during the day with the understanding that you will be charged for a full day. Pick-up is until 7:00 p.m. each day and a late fee of $2 per minute will be added for each minute after 7:00 p.m., no exceptions. A clock will be available at the sign-out table and will be the timepiece used for late pick-up fees.
